I have survived all summer in Finland on gear from Tallinn . especially the rain cover needs replacing because the plastic film is worn out. all rain cover sold in shops and online in Finland assume a motorised life. sturdy heavy gear that can not be carried as an accessory that is rarely used. only in early spring and late summer is it necessary the rest of the time it is unused . or surprise rain shower. and June July when I travel at night in cool temperature in the mid night sun

my upcoming Australia expedition will be patched by Amazon for the holes in supply. next summer I am in Canada where you offer a full range I hope I can order online also with out a Canadian personal number only an ETA number . after that New Zealand will mostly have to use local gear what I dread the most is the pannier rack.

a public forum sponsored by decathlon is better than email in many ways because customers can help each other also . company and customers assist each other . some companies avoid this because they can’t control the content and the moderation cost . google plus was forced to close because the moderation was too expensive

when designing a forum here are some other examples that might influence the design . stack exchange and GitHub has managed to promote quality messages . nearly every thing there is high quality valuable messages . Reddit is much lower quality . face book has zero quality for some reason it’s incomprehensible to me . nvidia has become much easier to talk with since they created a community forum for engineers

the product design quality of decathlon makes you important to me for my life and exploration . I can’t use gear with poor design on a long expedition . I can’t shop at Kmart for my expedition . we are a world apart . decathlon is already perfect design quality but not geared enough towards expeditions

I would be interested to participate in developing more light weight expedition gear . lighter tents five hundred grams and up . these tents are some times called hooped bivouac or bivvy and offer the greatest mobility on foot . and an ultra light solar panel two hundred grams . decathlon is in a unique position to offer ultra light gear because of its size . smaller companies can only service the big market . heavy camping gear for motorised comfort exploration

some crucial expedition gear has also hit the dust bin probably without consideration for their crucial role in expeditions. inner tube protection tape. no one buys it or needs that right? well it’s essential expedition gear it’s impossible to risk your life in no man’s land on a puncture. there could be a way to mark items as essential expedition gear and keep them despite business management wanting to throw it out

an expedition in Japan or Australia require at least sixty litres storage to transport clothes and food through the water . it has been removed in and off from Australia . I am now facing a new world record expedition in Australia with only forty litres storage in the water . that’s too little for food and clothing

I am also looking for a forum on product design . the head strap for the ultra light wind breaker is a famous example . absolutely crucial to firmly grasp the face in bad weather . in a controversial update the face tightening strap was removed in favour of easier manufacture. many other details interest explorers that has to be outside in all conditions

the zipper can be removed from the rain pants . this would save one hundred grams . weight is the most important aspect for an enjoyable expedition in foot . the rain pants should weigh two hundred grams not three hundred . the zipper adds too much material and is unnecessary .

in short the face strap for the jacket is necessary in windy conditions . the leg zipper on the rain pants is un necessary and can be removed

and the phone pouch ipx water proof itiwit . i have used it for ten years but it’s too short now . phones are too tall since 2024 . even in 2025 the height is not increased. even with the new turquoise and pink colour release

many people have tried to reach you about this but failed to reach the right person . you have to find a way to speak with us so we can collaborate . more than anything I want to know what you think about communication . as a means to solve the problems I have described

I think it’s healthy for a society and a corporation to consider all ideas even minority interest that are easily forgotten . maybe the spirit of exploration is lost when looking to hard at bottom line results and sales volume . the classical minority is the world champion that is easily forgotten in the noise if the mass market that drive revenue and profits .

the mass market is automatically geared towards minimal effort exploration because of the law of ecology and reproductive success . all populations evolve towards procreation with minimal effort . excessive effort is constantly removed in favour if minimal effort . that means a market demand for heavy comfort gear and no world class expedition gear

company management might take market demand as a given input that can’t be altered . but it’s not entirely true . it is also possible to stimulate demand and try new interesting products

if crucial expedition gear is canned an explorer can alert you and say we are almost unnoticeable in sales figures but crucial in many other ways. can we take a second look at what a one man un motorised expedition needs that is not only for the rich and privileged but for anyone that burn for discovery

I know companies are unsure or unaccustomed to business discussion with amateurs . but my back ground is entirely in science and Linux community where pros and amateurs have no distinction every one is an equal engineer and boss and manager and king and peasant . every one participate in every detail

if you go over all the numbers again and include a shipping delay and higher delivery prices it might narrowly be possible to return online to Scandinavia and new Zealand by shipping from neighbouring countries . Japan is apparently supplied over seas weekly with this model and it works there. the quality and design is so horrendous on Amazon and local brands it’s a night mare or impossible to find the right gear. I have struggled with this disaster in Finland all summer and shopping for my upcoming new Zealand expedition is a Jerry rig so far. it is still doable but if we help each other things are so much easier

Tasmania is already half way to new Zealand and you compensate with higher shipping there the same model with slight modification could work in new Zealand. my current shopping bag for my all summer new Zealand expedition looks close to Frankenstein monster. it is a Jerry Jerry rig. if the pannier rack breaks the transportation of a new bike or starting over from a big city will destroy the expedition

everything is wrong with my Finland gear wrong dimensions wrong design everything is too heavy and too expensive I will never get anywhere with them and they are spread out thin and hardly speak English and have of course never the slightest comprehension of what I am doing. they are just not global and don’t care that much. your design and delivery vision is already so close to mine we could easily cooperate one day or talk about the possibility with realistic terms to co-operate one day

if anything at all can be done to make it easier to shop from Amazon Australia decathlon it would be greatly appreciated . it is nearly impossible to search for items and most seems unlisted. they ship to new Zealand with added delay and cost. one major limitation is bikes you have to ship them from your own site with a guaranteed system for visitors without an address that is guaranteed to work with the local post system

the total price of my new Zealand expedition is astronomical already from local brands and the pannier rack is untested and might destroy everything

foot note Zealand or Själland

being Scandinavian the name is Själland more than Zealand to me. our good neighbour England use that name because they can’t speak Swedish. and they also arranged a whole sale deforestation of the island to emulate their home world. we get along barely . they cut down so many trees they are able to export butter to other countries over seas

it’s about a bug in the solar panel and a new product idea for a battery with current display

I also mention a bug in the check out that I wish I could have told you about . on GitHub it would be easy but I don’t know your engineer and I have never worked for you and have no inside connection

solar panel bug . reset loop

the solar panel struggle with USB C batteries . this never happens with micro USB . it some times get stuck in an endless reset loop where the battery is reset over and over

the easiest way to test this is on a fully charged battery . the battery should give a solid light not reboot over and over

this comes from problems with varying current that is no longer necessary . at least with USB C . it is never necessary to reboot the battery anymore . the current can be adjusted at will with out resetting any thing

I would like to run a simulation on that in Linux if your engineer can provide the software and simulator. it is possible I can find the bug

the charger and battery are sophisticated programs. hammering the reset button serves no good at all. you never have to reset anything anymore . I am fixing all the bugs on GitHub . pressing reset every five seconds doesn’t solve any problems . open communication solve problems

my other panels don’t have this but they fluctuate freely in current including zero current with out resetting the battery.

flex solar sold in Australia is one example that has no problems . it never reboots the battery always charging at whatever light is available even near zero . even a shadow from a tree or a clouded sky does not reset the connection it keeps charging at near zero and goes back up when the sun returns with no reboot

decathlon is easiest to buy globally and I would like to participate in the product design . the success of Linux is in small part due to my participation the last thirty four years. part time voluntary for problems that I need to solve for myself

# solar panel heat degradation

when use for several months the charging unit is heat degraded . it can no longer operate at full current in heat. it starts normally but quickly degrade to a trickle when it heats up in the sun . especially noticeable in summer on warm days

all these issues need current display to be identified . leading to my idea about a battery that display current to verify it is working

I had many problems with solar power for long expeditions and would prefer a battery design for this

batteries normally display voltage as one to four or zero to hundred . when solar charging current display is necessary . if it works the current should fluctuate constantly and the battery should never reboot . other wise it is broken and needs replacing

the current should vary continuously not at fixed levels . the battery should never reboot . the current should use all available light from zero to max not discreet steps or interrupted by reset

the sky could be over cast for a week and still provide enough power for navigation and off line work . it is essential for a long expedition . one deci amp for ten hours is five watt hours . that’s enough to work with battery saver . i work on my phone all the time every where on the planet

check out bug live for one year. better community relations needed

there was also a bug in the online check out for over a year where selecting a map location never enabled the continue button. only selecting from the list did. so everyone that selected from the map was stumped. how do I continue? the next button is still disabled. it’s an honest mistake but I cringed over the fact that I could not tell you about it. and how long it took before it was corrected. it was published to all global stores for at least a year several years ago

I have used Linux since 1991 and fixed endless bugs since then. I know you do fine without me but sometimes it’s good to have a public forum despite all the noise that brings. we receive mostly useful input but we don’t communicate through Facebook it would bring too much noise for scientific work. we have a public forum but not Facebook

if you have a scientifically minded employee he might be able to speak with scientist like myself. it might be as much dross as gold but it’s worth a shot. some times it’s just a mistake that some how failed to get to the engineers and a polite comment from an avid user might be all it takes to correct it. but it could easily drown in the noise Reddit for instance is almost useless but git lab and git hub works perfectly . even though it doesn’t require a verified university email address that some forums require to avoid noise . anyone can register but it still works all comments are top notch

this is a long description of a problem that only affects moving expeditions with no major stops for several days or weeks that allows waiting for mail or back tracking to pick up mail

I let you read it at your own leisure since it is not a major priority for anyone except myself and a handful of explorers

it’s almost like a novel or memoir the take away is just to bring back the idea that some one could select where they want to delivery with out manually entering any address. I am too long winded to get my point across and the rest of this message is only of special interest if you are busy with work skip the next it’s just a very long explanation and reflections on my other work

I have spent countless hours finding and typing in the Smallville (literally Lillby in Swedish I just passed a town with exactly that name in Finland last week) post office address just to have the whole thing fail in a giant fiasco. it could be as easy as selecting any point on the map. it was easier ten years ago but has gradually reverted to the traditional system that is ten times worse for someone just visiting once

in the update a few years ago I have to type an address again which I did not have to do ten years ago. but it was never perfect for me because the map would only show locations near my supposed address not all locations

I remember my post office back home in small town Sweden fifteen years ago calling the post office head quarters because they had never seen a personal item mailed to the post office. they wondered if it was for them or for me. they said this is addressed to us are you sure this is yours. I will call Swedish post and ask for an explanation I have never seen this before that a personal item can be addressed to the postal agent that was a general store groceries and hardware traditional rural collection when hardware was often bought locally. they even sold tractors in the past from that little store for the fields around the town

apparently it was not registered as pick up delivery in the system or something was off from their normal handling. usually all parcels was for a home address and sorting facility diverted it to pick up point but the address on the label did not contain the pick up point or post office agent that is usually the only shop in town

last time I was in Sweden they finally implemented an explorer’s dream re shipping to anywhere in the country. no need to back track or wait for mail or return it to the other side of the planet. a complete system to redirect the deliver anywhere and extend the pick up window indefinitely or at least a month .

and ironically decathlon Sweden was closed even the online presence six months later. I am doing another expedition in Lapland after Canada and expect to be back to square a. I can’t find any gear. or the gear I need. or for reasonable prices. almost every thing is too heavy or too expensive because almost the entire commercial market is one time use for a brief vacation motorised and comfortable the gear is just toys . for me it’s my survival. it takes several tries to find the right size and right design . and prohibitively expensive contrary to popular belief all scientist are not millionaires almost all my work is donated

the important thing for me was the system worked all over Sweden. but never in Norway or Finland sadly but I think an online presence there might still be feasible. it is close to impossible to find ultra light equipment anywhere else especially from local brands. I knew fins hate foreign companies in general but not everyone is like that there are always a handful of global citizens every where that will greatly benefit from the market choice

the biggest problem is that nothing is designed for expeditions. most gear is camping related and too heavy and all shops assume I have a home address when I am only passing by once

typing a post office as my home address often fails because they hate their job and hate anything out of the ordinary. and I used to work as a mail man and my best friend is a mail man and can confirm that most people don’t like their job much. it is much more reliable to use an established system instead of trying to wrangle something out of a system that is supposed to be home deliver only.

there is a world wide aversion to mail addressed to the post office since they have always delivered mail to homes. the system was designed for the pony express when there was no way to contact anyone like today. so either you delivered it to some ones house since everyone has a house and a farm usually or they would never learn about it. in Germany all mail to a post office disappeared with out a trace. it was marked as delivered but the post office had no record of it. in Australia they are not that angry and have not thrown my stuff in the garbage like German mail workers. and slam the phone down when I call them and speak English sadly. even the police in Germany hang up if you speak English . as well as Chile

besides a general poor attitude they don’t know how to register personal mail in the computer because they rarely receive mail for post office storage. and that irritates them. even if there is a system for that they rarely encounter it and solve it by dropping it in the garbage instead of keeping it for pick up .

I have tried it all over the world and it almost never works. I type post office storage and the post office address and it is registered as delivered and disappear. or it is sent without tracking and disappear . even in the local language it fails 郵便局の保管庫 in Japan Postlager in Germany they are not used to it and respond by aborting the delivery . they only do as much effort as to not get fired and and a foreign customer is hope less against a system that doesn’t care or doesn’t speak English

I am still working with the aus post office to get an official parcel collect number. they receive so few requests that their system is broken . I have typed my visum number and send an explanation and error message and error description. but it’s still pending they just don’t like problems . the web site don’t accept my passport and it will never be solved if only one person complain .

they have also tried too hard to prevent fraud by requiring that all customers register their google account in Australia . I will continue to work with them on this because of the lack of options in the south

on the positive side the mail man delivered the mail anyway despite no parcel collect number on the label. greatly appreciated but I can never count on crucial gear being there when I need it. and sitting still is difficult for me because I have to protect my identity when developing south Africa the most contentious issue on the planet . I don’t want to burden the people around me with this problem and I get restless being in the same place for several days and my best working environment is the silence of nature because of my worried nature

I am working for a safe nature where all humans have money and no one is approached with the classical your money or your life from a con specific . south Africa desperately need help with giving every one money . far less important but also important is that there is any nature at all. in Chile the farmers have all but removed all trace of nature and turned the country into a gigantic farm.

in Finland there are no fences any where . in Chile there is a barbed wire to crawl through every ten metres . I can’t even understand how that adds up how much meat or milk is produced per capita or per acre of flat land. some how every one has food in Finland despite endless forest

I happen to know that new Zealand export butter to Tasmania . which undermines the idea of conscious mental activity . the problem stems from a bad management system . closed management that create a barrier between insider and outsider . more than anything I work on open society with out barriers and a public forum that promote the best ideas

this is the arche enemy of empire builders and a work in progress . it has succeeded in the north but completely failed else where. if you disagree with the big boss you are killed confined or silenced. unfortunately leaving is the only option or easiest option in many places like this

new Zealand has a similar problem as England . endless farm land with too little forest . an expedition around the country will see mostly fields of grass instead of anything that resemble anything interesting

it’s not just dolphins that fare ill on this planet that was largely resolved in the 1980s by simply lowering the net and let them escape . many hundreds thousand dolphins were drowned by an easily preventable reason before it was possible to do something about it. the first time a scientist stepped on a tuna fishing boat in the middle 1970s and followed along their work suddenly that could be solved. the fishers had no energy but to support their own families drowning dolphins meant nothing to them.

the south Africa disaster is easily preventable and greatest contention on this planet . I have been robbed there and everyone that has tried to explore that unique continent has been stopped by a humanitarian disaster that can be solved any time if there is any interest at all to do so

Bivvy bag: We miss you and hope to see you again

This is another to corporate affairs

I was greatly helped for two record breaking expeditions around canary island and Cyprus by a rain bag

Yes this is not for the faint of heart I am of the same blood line as Erik the read and roald Amundsen

I need it again for a south African za expedition

Now there is also a profit expectation and other complications even if we are scientists at heart primarily and can swallow a financial loss if there is an intellectual gain that maybe not all can appreciate

It used to be sold in UK as water proof trekking bag but has joined the list of dis continued products

It is not the same as a tent but makes a world of difference on rainy night

The purpose for me is that I would die of boredom if I hiked through the Canarian desert

At horse latitudes ait is constantly sinking between the Hadley and Ferrell cell and the only joy is from swimming part of the way as far as the human body can endure it

That means no tent

It will rain in early summer in za and I will now have to look else where

The primary reason for this request is that you have completely separate independently and without influence from me championed a delivery to collection point as the only sensible shopping

Relegating home delivery to the first bin of history

I am never home

I am home around one out of 365 days a year and there will be a patient mail main that manage to get a signature at my door

I have personally worked with Amazon to help them with this ongoing project and was not surprised but disappointed that they do not query for parcel lockers in my native Stockholm….

One bag in water and on land in rain and sun and with almost no weight. Carried on head without much effort even with a few days supply of food

Without the rain bag in that kit early summer in za is practically impossible

I can source it elsewhere but there is very little understanding even from Amazon that some people are never home to receive deliveries

I have asked for an option to schedule delivery for April 1 when I am in Stockholm to visit family. Beforehand. But it is too niesch for them to be interested The feature is on the back burner as they say in San Francisco

I will as usual have to manually time the delivery for when I am there and there is a fifty percent chance it will work

This entire message is mostly of intellectual interest. It has nothing to do with a profit motive that only worry about the mass market

But I think if anyone can understand me it is you based on your pioneering insight that delivery points is the future

And the first merchant I know of that has implemented it

I have been able to re supply in nearly every market you operate in. The first failure was Chile that I blame on a lack of foreign visitors and a history of isolation

Maybe you will be the first to offer an option to schedule or attempt to schedule a delivery for a specific date

I know for example when I am flying out of Santiago and if I could order everything I need before the flight and ready to collect a month in advance that would be one less worry for my worried heart

Now I will have to make an order a week or two in advance

And if I remember correctly all orders in Sweden are shipped across by ferry and could take a week before they are in the locker

I was happy to see that you use the relatively new parcel lockers in Stockholm that Amazon has yet to implement

I have asked them why but I know that they are still stuck in a home address home delivery world that will eventually disappear entirely probably or become a nisch option

I am fully booked years ahead and the bain of my existence is the near impossibility to buy anything since I don’t store shop and never visit cities because I can not tolerate the noise of motorised coaches even with electric engines wheeled vehicles are navigated with such excessive speed that I avoid all motor ways and cities

They used to pull carts until their legs collapsed and now they press the gas pedal to the same excess despite much less pressure to survive

Save and resume failed check out and other ideas about a smooth experience

Sometimes check out fails in the last step

I propose that options are given to alert staff about intended assistance

A separate invoice can be created from PayPal or any other platform created for that purpose

If collect in store is selected an option could be given to pay in store instead of hair pulling over a non cooperative merchant

I have had to complete five out of six months total expedition around Chile without any chance to re supply garments and broken gear because of a problem

It does not help developing countries that foreign citizens are treated as second grade online citizens quite frankly

It is mostly due to the first mover dis advantage. I am a rare sight in the Chilean country side and this country desperately need more visitors

I am working with Chile through the United nations to help farmers come closer to an ecology that respect all animals that is a corner stone in all modern land management

The primary difficulty is that all natives do everything exactly the same way and exactly the way they have always done it

Only outside visitors can allow a change to finally happen and an engagement from a different perspective

I am hoping for more circulation from global citizens in your business in developing countries

I also am hoping that Finland and New Zealand can join the ranks like the tiny baltics have

I am happy to see that I can shop in English in Lithuania and hoping I can also pay for my order there when I need it next month when I return to Europe

If payment would fail there too I hope that the order can be collected for me and waiting payment in store

It was promised through email in Santiago Chile but it fell through from mis communication

A better check out procedure would have helped if a standard request could be made instead of emails back and forth that may be lost or mis remembered.

Staff have their hands full and an email to collect a failed order can easily be forgotten if there is no previous experience with that

However in that case one single plastic carabineer had stalled the order in ware house when I needed it for my Cyprus expedition

Since everything else was in stock the order could have been made available in portions

I had to schedule a new flight but in that case I was offered to pay in store to avoid further delay

Mountain hiking 20 is removed from regular production

The best hiking material is fleece

There used to be a basic fleece called mountain hiking 20 for decades

Perhaps from your facilities in Bangladesh but I can not remember

I am only wearing what I could find for my latest expedition in Chile

Mountain hiking 100 and base layer 100

I remember the latter was marked as Mexico

I am returning for a summer expedition in Europe and can not find 20 in Europe either

It is no longer possible to purchase

This has confused so many regular old customers that an explanation is sought by many

I find 100 to be too bulky and with an un comfortable zipper

It is not as smooth soft as 20 at night but it might be because the south America edition use material sourced elsewhere than in Europe

The biggest problem is the bulky material itself

The overall weight is definitely higher it can not be my imagination

Base layer is too thin

This results in two garments that I don’t like instead of one

My back ground is service in environmental management economy security etc for United nations and other non governmental agencies and academia

My expeditions are always ultra light

Besides the enormous stress of the expectations on me to solve all problems I also suffer from the sound and noise of combustion engines that run modern society and must seek refuge to heal my mind

Perhaps you can forward this to someone that want to explain what has happened

And the surface weight of the different materials and other information without divulging anything you find proprietary for your operation or anything you are un comfortable with talking about

There are always facts that I am unaware of that is why I must always seek more information to get a complete picture of a difficult problem

Jag planerar en expedition runt Chile och Argentina

Jag insåg idag att jag inte kan köpa proviant från Decathlon Chile via nätet som utlänning

Jag är säker på att någon inom företaget är villig att tala med mig om detta och hitta en lösning

Med lite hjälp går det att ordna

Att jag kontaktar er istället för Chile beror på språket. Om jag försöker översätta detta meddelande till spanska blir det bara rappa kalja och leder ingen vart. Om jag skriver på engelska blir det bara ett obesvarat meddelande som ingen har läst. Eller ett kort “jag fattar ingenting” för att markera ärendet som “behandlat”. Jag har själv jobbat i kundtjänst och det är inte alltid det finns energi att hantera ett komplicerat ärende som bara berör ett fåtal individer. Inga meddelanden får raderas men om det är komplicerat så markeras det bara som “besvarat”

Det är tydligt att Chile har valt en unik lösning som stänger ute övriga världen från nät betalningar. Jag är dåligt insatt i framstegen i den gemensamma marknaden i Sydamerika. I Europa har det krävts Jobs tålamod. Jag vet inte om alla har get upp där. Dom borde ha det lättare eftersom alla talar samma språk

Den bästa lösningen är att dom frågar Mercado pago om dom kan acceptera mina köp trots att jag bara har ett svenskt pass. Inget chilenskt dokument. Om dom kan registrera ett konto hos mercadopago.cl för min epost kanske det fungerar. Eller undersöka vad jag ska skriva i fältet “otro” (annat, alltså annat är RUT) så att jag kan betala utan ett konto. PayPal kräver ingen identifiering för att betala. Det görs hos EMV (Eurocard Mastercard visa). Något har hänt i Chile utanför min vetskap som har tvingat fram detta hinder. Jag vet fortfarande inte någon som har hittat en lösning som besöker Chile eller vistas länge där. Men inte har möjlighet att söka eller intresse av att stanna permanent

Jag är säker på att även där finns det någon som vill stödja en expedition i landet. Men utan att tala spanska är det nästan omöjligt att nå fram till den personen. Kundtjänst är inte roade av meddelanden på engelska. Varken måndag morgon eller fredag eftermiddag

Eller om Decathlon Brasilien kan hjälp till

Problemet är att jag måste kunna beställa till en leverans punkt

Jag hade redan kontrollerat för ett år sedan när jag planerade expeditionen att även i Chile precis som i övriga världen gör ni det

Men jag borde ha insett att det kunde bli problem att betala. Nu börjar min expedition om en vecka och jag försökte reservera all utrustning i Santiago men nekades att betala. Jag har frågat om dom kan hantera min order ändå och låta mig betala i affären. Jag kan inte föreställa mig att Chile har sådana problem med bedrägerier att man har varit tvungen att blockera visa och Mastercard i landet. Eller gjort det omöjligt för utlänningar att betala elektroniskt. Dom kräver inget tillstånd för en svensk att vistas i landet som övriga länder i södra hemisfären. Eftersom jag är något av en pionjär så är det inte någon som har berättat allting för mej. Jag har fortfarande inget hum om var det finns buss linjer i nödfall. Information är omöjligt att finna. Jag har sökt kontakt med andra med samma intresse men det är möjligt att dom inte existerar

Om jag addreserar post till ett postkontor försvinner det bara tyvärr. Amazon har inget nätverk av leverans punkter i varken Chile eller Argentina. Möjligtvis Mercado Libre. Men det är samma företag som inte tillåter utomstående länder. Chile och Argentina frågade både efter mitt lokala id kort. Ungefär som vi gör i Norden när vi säljer till varandra. Om jag vill sälja min cykel i Norge måste jag ha ett norskt telefonnummer till exempel. Men jag har aldrig tidigare blivit nekad att köpa från företag som utlänning. Jag vet inte varför det har blivit så. Förhoppningsvis finns det med välvilja en lösning

Jag är helt beroende av posten där. Det är helt omöjligt att köpa utrustning från en affär. Glasfiber pinnar till tält osv finns inte ens i lager i stora städer . Jag måste absolut försäkra mig om att jag har extra av allt som kan gå sönder innan jag lämnar Santiago

Det var samma problem i Norge att jag i princip bara hade trasor kvar när jag äntligen passerade gränsen till Sverige igen och kunde beställa proviant till posten igen

Ni är givetvis inte tvungna att böja er baklänges för min skull

Trots tio års expeditioner med hjälp av Decathlon har jag fortfarande inte hört från dom entusiaster som ligger bakom företaget

Jag önskar er lycka till i vilket fall även om vi inte hörs igen

Det är möjligt att jag kontaktar Decathlon uk om jag inte hör av er. Vi har detta i blodet mer än andra. (Amundsen Scott är namnet på sydpolen. En norrman och engelsmann gjorde något som ingen annan gjorde. Hade intresse av). Jag vet inte om Decathlon är hundra procent franskt i hjärtat som Nintendo är hundra procent japanskt. Om ingen av era ingenjörer talar engelska kanske det blir svårt

Det är möjligt att jag stöter på en entusiast på vägen som vill stödja min expedition och är villig att beställa proviant åt mig med sitt RUT kort. Men det är att kräva mycket från en främling. Vasco da gama bor inte i varje by… Det är en på miljonen
